A Word About Our Corsets

Each shapely corset is made with the basic foundation of 2 layers of corset cloth or coutil, a tightly woven twill fabric that ensures support and stability. The busk in the center front is used to hold the body erect as well as to fasten the corset in front. This style of busk is the same as those used over 100 years ago by corsetieres.

All of the corsets are boned with a high quality metal spiral boning. Due to its spiral nature, the boning is flexible and more difficult to snap but is very sturdy and will maintain the shape of the garment as well as the shape of the body. Grommets are used in the place of eyelets to avoid potential scratching and snagging.

For those individuals who are intimidated by the potential constriction of a corset, there is the possible addition of a stretch panel in the corset that is equally as stunning with the added bonus of flexibility.
