Update for the boycott;
Delta Western has lowered it's prices at Fred Meyers to $ 2.51 and Gas
and Go to $ 2.55. The price at Safeway has dropped to $ 2.51 also. Now
we need to reward that drop by buying all of our fuel from them. If all
works well we should see a drop in prices from Taku and Petro. Keep the
pressure on folks.
To
start this Rolling Boycott off we should all boycott Delta Western.
Thier
outlets are Fred Myers, and Tesoro outlet, and Reliable for
heating fuel. Taku Fuel currently has the lowest prices for heating
fuel anyway.
The
reason we should start with Delta
Western is they own the only fuel
barge that serves Juneau so the other distributors are at thier mercy
as far as shipping rates. If we can force thier prices down the others
will have to follow.
I
know this may inconvienance some of you and the dealers may
be friends of yours, as they are mine, but in order for this to work we
all have to apply pressure where it does the most good.
Thank
you all for supporting this effort to bring fuel prices in line
with what they should be.
As
soon as we see some movement in pricing I will update this page.
Again, if we stick together I truly believe we can effect some change
in the Juneau market and possibly the rest of Northern Southeast.
