1.      Ordway Prairie – This 7800 acres of native prairie tract is located 9 miles west of Leola on Highway 10.  Established in 1975, the Nature Conservancy was developed for scientific and educational information so future generations could appreciate some of the Northern Plains’ pioneer heritage.  This area is considered a “nature bank” and is the site for college experiments, student field trips and for those who just want to “experience nature”.
